Lake Liberty

Created in 1976 to serve as the main water reservoir for the residents of Casey County, the 88-acre Lake Liberty is the perfect place to fish, canoe, or kayak.  Nestled in the rolling hills just east of Liberty off of Hwy 70, the lake provides a peaceful, quiet destination to decompress & enjoy the beauty of nature.  Facilities include a boat ramp & dock.

Rules
- Open Daily 6:00 a.m. to Midnight
- No Swimming
- No Fires or Picnicking
- No alcoholic beverages
- Fishing by permit only ($10 per year); available at City Hall or the Water Plant at the lake
- No gasoline engines allowed;  electric (trolling) motors & paddles/oars may be used
- Boaters must have in possession U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets or vests while in boats on lake
- State litter, firearms, fish & game laws strictly enforced
- Minimum fine of $50.00 for littering
- Area patrolled for violations
- Non-compliance of rules will result in loss of membership for one year
- City of Liberty will not be responsible for any accidents
